We will host installation art, performances, dancers, poets, and face painters. This is a free event run by POC.

Transience

This 3 day gallery event will address gentrification, displacement, liminal and transitional spaces. Moving, waiting, changing, sustaining, places that offer us public and private platforms to interact with movement and flux. Artists involved have been asked to respond with work that addresses these in-between spaces, whether they relate to physical location, memory, time, or the ethereal.

Lion's Main Art Collective presents our upcoming show: Transience. This 3 day gallery event will address gentrification, displacement, liminal and transitional spaces. On Satuday, we invite guests to Transience- Dance Among the Art. The gallery will again be open to the public and will feature DJs Reverend Dollars and Jimi Jaxon bringing you some Saturday night vibes ♥ 


SUNDAY

Sunday, the gallery will be open earlier in the day for your last chance to see the show- Transience- Brunch in the Gallery. There will be brunch snacks courtesy of Macrina Bakery & Cafe and The Essential Baking Company and a brunch bar!

The Lion's Main Art Collective is bringing you a QTone, a Film Festival featuring Queer Filmmakers of Color. Join us September 24th at Central Cinema and September 27th at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center for art, community, and celebration! Lion's Main hosted Biophilia in Georgetown in the summer of '15 as a fundraising party for our next show, Erasure. It was a magical night featuring a garden installation by Olivia Greene, live dj's, and a photo booth. We also debuted the 'Biophilia' Zine, which is available online. The party theme and zine entries were inspired by the following definition:

Trans and Queer Film Festival

The Lion's Main Art Collective partnered with Central Cinema and Youngstown Cultural Arts Center to host an evening of trans and queer short films. All films were created by local Washington artists. We were able to award a prize of $150 to the best film, determined by the audience's vote, to help artists create more work in the future.

Our newest pop-up show, Portals, is an interdisciplinary art extravaganza featuring over 20 artists from different perspectives and backgrounds, including visual artists, film makers, musicians, dancers, writers, poets and many more.
